IKO OTRIN
Professor Iko Otrin is a choreographer, professional dancing master, pedagogue, lecturer, and professor of music.
He finished the Secondary Ballet School in Ljubljana and graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. He received training in numerous dancing schools throughout the world, such as Essen (with professor Kurt Joos in Folkwanghochschule), New York (Martha Graham, Luigi), Los Angeles (University of South California), and Champaigne (University of Illinois).
His career includes being a member of the Ljubljana Ballet (in 1951) and then a correpetitor and teacher at the secondary Ballet School in Ljubljana (1956). Later in his career, he was a director of the Ballet Theatre, and choreographer and solo dancer in the Slovene National Theatre in Maribor and Novi Sad.
